Does anyone else do weekly emailing to members? This is the thing that keeps traffic to my forum..

I have not tried this in years for a couple of reasons.
One is the bounce back emails. and prior to mindraven I would hit my email limit.
Have you found a method with mindraven to determine what bad emails you have?. Since their default is to turn off bounced emails.

I do wish that we could turn off 'receive notifications' without having to login to someones account.

It makes people feel awkward when they see their name in the who's online when they are not logged in. AND then a distrust begins re reading of their private messages.

So I assume this is your correction tool for bad emails.

But my question is how do you find bounced emails.
I asked this question of mindraven and they said it is turned of globally.

I wouldn't worry about it ?

Because when you get 100's of Bounced e-mails you start thinking should i delete there accounts? Should i ask them to update there e-mails?

At the end of the day IMO its House keeping you can do with out.
And it only costs you time.

Ive not sent e-mails out for years either.
I used to do it as a News letter and a obligation to sponsors.

You login and turn off there e-mail options.
Dont forget to check there watch lists lol

Its a drag. I except it as the way of the internet and users accounts with temp e-mail accounts.

I'm all for a feature of being able to disable their email notifications preference from the CP.
