Guys, is there a way that the shout box can 'remember' longer entries/conversations i.e. scroll back longer?

Yes there is smile

Take a look in scripts/getshouts.inc.php

At line 54 you will see...

$shout_limit = 30;

Alter that and you're good to go smile
