I'm trying to add my forum to my new template.

Here is my forum, I know how to strip this of the css and banner etc to make it plain again of course

http://www.crude-behavior.com/forum/ubbthreads.php/category/1/SURFING.html

But what's racking my brain is how to add the template code to the general template in the link below. I know you have to add it to the header and footer section but I'm not sure where to break it.

http://www.crudebehaviour.com/joomla/page2.php

I want to add the forums here:

Well, that should be a table, so cut it at the cell start (for the center area) then put the cell end as the footer.

i'd really div the surrounding stuff and only dive into tables when you do the ubbthreads stuff

Link to how it is put together

you'll be modifying a couple .tpls, but once you see how it works, it should be perty easy smile

My non active forum is an example of how it's done. ( hint, use firefox with firebug and view source or equive in chrome, opera.. )

the article i linked above also pointed to the garden site that did the same thing..

smile

LOL easier said than done

so is firebug the way to go?

I was using web developer but it was making my browser sluggish.

I looked at the garden site and it looks like they went with vbulletin.

I've themed all of my "wrapped" forums without modding any stock files, all done with the header/footer includes...

sure that works.. i just recommended a different way with divs that i prefer.

to each his own.. both work..

the overriding reason for me was to marry with wordpress' theme, which is div based

pick yer poison smile
