my only major complaint at the moment with the whole version 8 thing, I bought a 2 year membership (2 years ago) based on the release predictions from Rick thinking that would more than cover me. it is now about to expire, I am going to have to renew again just to get 7.6, nevermind version 8.

Unfortunately that is how things go at times. I try not to buy extended memberships just based on an estimate for releases so I just go with it year to year.

Why is it I don't come here very often?

Just placed another of my communities up for sale last night running UBBT.

And for something completely different.

We pay the fee, small enough as it is at $59.00 under the impression that it is like insurance; damn glad you have if you need it and hope you never do.

This is because there can be tech issues which need the attention of those who know the software best and we want to be able to call on those resources in case of need.

And nobody, but nobody, can have staff waiting for such a call unless there is cash flow to support the availability. This is total reality. The staff fairy doesn't provide unless there is cash flow.

I have had three trouble tickets in a year. One turned out to be something we did, one that Rick solved for us by doing a patch and one that didn't get answered, but might have not been turned in correctly, dunno.

$59.00 a year is dirt cheap insurance.

There's nothing I can say other than hope that UBB be even better and better. Hopefully new owner/s can give their best (support and development quality) and bring the UBB to be respected forum software on the internet...

ga mau, tapi terpaksa. UBB sekarang banyak masalah. sudah 2 tahun lebih saya menunggu versi 8 yang tidak kujung datang. forum-forum saya sekarang kelihatan tua dan kurang menarik. bahkan sudah ada yang mau tutup karena kalah bersaing sama facebook. seharusnya ada integrasi facebook 2 tahun yang lalu.

ya cukup sudah. seharusnya saya bikin software forum sendiri dari awal.
