I can't seem to find the step by step instructions required to install a language, in this case, Spanish.
Did I miss a thread somewhere?

Thanks,
Tee

Well I thought there was some documentation on this item, but no.
So to add a language pack.
1. Download one from this forum.
2. Unzip the file
3. ftp the folder name and contents to your site under forums/languages
What ever the folder name is under languages that will be the name of the language. It will then appear in the control panel.

So for Spanish you would have
forums/languages/spanish

And spanish will contain all of the language files.

Oh . one last thing.
After you upload the folder/files.
Goto
Control Panel » Languages
Ad set it to what you want
active( needs to be on to display to the user)
default

Then you can select it from
Mystuff>>Edit Preferences

Ah, I see now. I downloaded and set up a Spanish pack but it looks like the pack has to exactly match the UBB version. The one I tried had lots of missing icons and links as we have UBB 7.5.4.2.
Do you know anywhere that might have that available?

Thanks!

Well I searched for spanish packs here and I see two of them.
Since they are dated a few years ago.
Then yes if a language string was added over the years then that string would not be populated so some may need to be edited in the control panel
As far as missing icons I don't recall any images used in a language string.

But anyway can you provide the url where you have it installed and what pack you used.

Hi Rueben. Sorry for the delay, been reading up on your and others' wishes and wants. Great ideas.
I've unactivated the Spanish language pack in case someone saw it and tried to use it.
And I was wrong when mentioning icons were missing, they were just the links at the top of the page:

All that was left were the drop down arrows.

Thanks,

i don't know which pack you used but it just sounds like that one was either never completed or was to old for the version you are on.
You probably could have fixed it by just opening the language file in the ubb control panel and look for missing strings.
