What level of flexibility is there with ad islands?

For example, in the same forum can you randomly or alternatively serve Google and Yahoo

contextual ads?

Well, that'd be code in the island... The island is just any one of the customislands you want to use; you'd have to put the appropriate php code in the custom island.
