I am still using 7.5.5, when I put in a link from You Tube and then hit post all I get is the link no video. Anyone know whats going on?

Also how do I create an avatar directory or what ever I have to do so people can download their own avatars.

Ok for the first part make sure you are using the correct UBB tags in front and rear of the link...also if I remember correctly there was something about the link that had to be adjusted (but I am rusty to be honest).


For the second.... there is a folder for user avatars in the UBB directories.. you just have to allow users to upload their own avatars in the Control Panel (and make sure that the folder is read/write enabled).

Short answer..if you need a more detailed one, I will write it out in a bit when I get home from work.

You need to go to cp»Control Panel» Content Rebuilder and enable the ubb code for youtube

Did all that still not working.

Do you have the ubb code enabled for youtube and are you wrapping the url with video tags like this

Well I will leave the video linkage up to the experts (I am not really adept at adding them... I have them working on my board but I forget how I did it)...

As for the avatar uploads is that working now?

I did not find a existing post with a attempt to place a youtube video.
So I registered as Ruben.
Waiting on approval.

I finally got approved but it looks like the site is offline now.
I Get 404 errors.
