Hi everyone,

Happy New Year. You guys are great.

First, not a question but a statement. You guys I think know I am an admin on another board. I am only as good as the answers you supply so thanks. I basically had power in the CP while the mods and global mods had the requisite amount. The actual owner of the board inserted several of his support staff as mods, but basically made them admins by changing the permissions in the CP so that mods had the same powers as the admin. Pretty tricky I thought. I guess the red color is still nice, lol.

Anyway, sorry if that doesn't belong there. Just venting.

My actual question is there a way to make the "Edited by so and so" not the default rather than checked by default. I think there is a good reason to put in an edit reasons at times, but it is just a little frustrating when it is included in each edit even though it servers no meaning, e.g.Edited by Bert at 7:02PM. Or, can I get rid of it altogether? It just doesn't seem to serve that much of a purpose.

Thanks. Feel free to yell at me if my statement was inappropriate or should have gone somewhere else. Even as an admin, on this powerful forum, I am still a newbie. smile

Example: I see that on this board Mark as edited and reason for edit is set by default. Before anyone says, it can be unchecked, on our board 99% of the users are going to just click change post, and it will be posted.

Edit Reason: This just seems absolutely unhelpful.
