I'm putting this here in case this is a bug.

When users include a lot of images in a post after a certain number it turns the src urls to links. I cannot find a setting in the CP to change this.

It is the size of the file. Look in the cp for inline images
If the file is larger than the setting it becomes a link
From memory try primary settings.

Max Size for inline uploaded images
If an image is attached to the post, if it is smaller than the specified size (in bytes) it will be displayed in the post.

Ruben, I think he's referring to people using image tags. You can set the limit in the control panel.

Control panel >> Display options >> post/reply page options >> post image limit

Your correct.Could be either one I guess. Setting is in same area. Just different section.
