Hi Guys,

I am trying to help out an admin running UBB.threads™ 6.5.5. What has happened is he moved a thread and now the redirect thread that was left remains in the same position in the forum and will not move down as it ages. It seems to be stuck in position 3 from the top. I don't have much experience with this software so any help would be greatly appreciated facepalm

Is it possible for one of those re-direct posts to get marked as sticky, I wonder? (Just a thought.)

It does not show as a sticky but yes it is basically acting as one. I will attach two screen shots of the threads. It is the R.I.P thread.

and the full screen view of the thread

I know this sounds a bit desperate, but how about making it sticky and then 'un'sticky-ing it.

Sorry, not really sure what else to suggest.

Without a url.
It appears that this post is in the classic forum and the forum is actually a ubbthreads 6.x flavor.

But anyway a url to the post may help resolve the issue.

Well it is threads not classic.
Since it is a very old non supported version not sure if this was a bug in that version.
But I would try Driv's suggestion.

Then as a last resort try the content re-builders.

lol that looks famliar! The real problem is that the pointer in the Forum "Lounge" will not go away. The thread was moved to the Forum "Hall of Fame". All the post of the thread are in the Hall of Fame. Nothing is in the Lounge (except the pointer). I have accessed our SQL databases using the phpMyAdmin software. I found two records with "Friar John R.I.P." 2 match(es) inside table w3t_Posts, that is.

Hum confusing eh? Well then have a look at this document. I'm thinking we could simple delete the Lounge row record? Any SQL gurus want to chime in? What we don't want is for the Hall of Fame thread to be lost.

P.S.: While researching this issue this thread came up. Wow: an answer to a similar problem! And when I saw the screens DirtRider posted, I thought, "hey someone is helping us out without us even knowing about it!" Thanks chy. That was a head rush!
