A page comes up that says "We encountered a problem. The reason reported was: database error only visible to administrators". I see the same message my self on my computer and on my Ipad I see going to the admin dashboard Fatal error: Call to a member function error() on null in /home/britbike/public_html/forums/libs/mysql.inc.php on line 62 Please advice, thanks

http://www.britbike.com/forums/ubbthreads.phpDatabase error only visible to forum administrators If you have logging for MySQL errors on, go look at the error in the log; if not then open /libs/mysql.inc.php and find the line: Replace with: And the error will display to the browser.

Gizmo, I did above and now it reads We encountered a problem. The reason reported was: Script: /home/britbike/public_html/forums/libs/user.inc.php Line#: 334 SQL Error: Table 'ubbt_bbfCACHED_PERMISSIONS' is marked as crashed and should be repaired SQL Error #: 1194 Query: select USER_ID,FORUM_PERMISSIONS,SITE_PERMISSIONS,CP_PERMISSIONS from ubbt_bbfCACHED_PERMISSIONS where USER_ID = 1

Well, theres your answer: SQL Error: Table 'ubbt_bbfCACHED_PERMISSIONS' is marked as crashed and should be repaired You can either run a repair via PHPMyAdmin or via the command line: mysqlcheck --repair --all-databases

Let see I have login to PHPMyAdmin and went to SQL and put your " mysqlcheck --repair --all-databases" in and it read #1064 - You have an error in your SQL syntax; check the manual that corresponds to your MySQL server version for the right syntax to use near 'mysqlcheck --repair --all-databases' at line 1 Not really sure how to do this can you guide me?

PHPMyAdmin is not the command line.
Look at the list of databases in PHPMyAdmin, select any that're crashed, select repair at the bottom of the page. Or ask your host to do it.
