In the edit config settings you can allow the [image] markup tag to be used in the forums. But if you allow this, the image tag can also be used in the signature. Is there a way to allow image tags, but prevent it from being used in the signature file?

Not currently.

If I remember correctly, someone else was trying to accomplish this.

The easiest thing to do is to limit the amount of characters in the signature. An image tag and a URL take up alot of characters and make it difficult.

The person who trid before, may have found a solution at www.threadsdev.com

You might try going there and doing a search.
