may be this is a silly question, but I'vent found any documentation for this: how can I modify width of the windows where people wrote/edit posts ?? I think it's too small

You'd need to edit the following template files:
public_new_topic_form.pl
public_new_reply_form.pl
public_edit_post.pl

They're all in the NonCGI/Templates directory.
