Having recently upgraded my UBB I was pleased to find Content Islands as a cool addition. The only trouble is I have my site in Frames and would prefer for the Links clicked on to open in a New Window but I can't find any way of doing this...does anyone know of a simple way to have the links open in _blank ?

I have looked for information on this but can't find anything detailed enough for to allow me to know what to do to achieve this.

This will require a code modification. There are several topics that cover it at UBBDev. The folks over there will also be happy to help you with any other modifications you might need.

I managed to sort out the problem and it is a very minor html code addition.
