I would like to change the message new subscribers receive before we approve the registration. I thought it might be a Wordlet. It isn't. How do I find out where to change th message that is automatically sent?

These settings are wordlets indeed - you can find them under "Email" in your Wordlet menu. Looks like you'll want to look at the ones that begin with mod_queue, etc...

Email is not an option. I looked at all options and went through each wordlet in each one. Options include: Control Panel, Date, Error Messages, Image and Primary. I'm using:

These have been updated to wordlets in the newer versions. You really should upgrade to a newer version as there have been a number of security fixes.

CanadianActor.com was set up by real webmasters. I do basic site maitenance now. What is involved with upgrading in terms of technical know-how and cost? Feel free to direct me to a site where I can read up on this. CA's budget is quite limited.

If your member's area access is current, you can download it from there. If not, then you would need to renew at $99 for one year.

Most of the maintenance can be done though the Control Panel. Upgrades only require you to upload files, check the file permissions, and then click the upgrade button in the Control Panel.

Until i sort out the Upgrade issue, is there some way I can change the content of the email that news members get when they fill out the membership form (before we approve them)?

I believe it's in vars_wordlets_email.cgi in your variables directory. I don't have a zip that old so I can't give exact details, if that particular file even exists

It does exist, and can be safely edited in Notepad or another plain-text editor. Do note that the upgrade process from a pre-6.2.1 version will require that you overwrite the file, meaning the changes will be lost when you upgrade.
