I came here to find a solution to the unpopular "Member Number" appearance on threads, and found the solution a few threads down.

Well, the solution worked fine for 8 out of 9 of my forums. Forum 1, however, resists the change!

How can this be?

I just reopened my site, and there are very few people there, so could you give me a clue as to how I remove the Member Number from the "RoadOde" forum (Forum 1) at this location?

It looks like you're using different HTML templates for the first forum compared to the others. Find what template set you're using and remove $member_number out of the topic_page.pl file, clear the topic cache and bang.
