#93563 - 11/01/99 07:00 PM Problem with posting new topics in new install

I've just installed the full version of UBB 5.39c, everything seems to work fine in my setup but the ONLY problem i'm having is this:
I or anyone else posts a new topic to a forum and it seems like it posts the article, you get the normal "Thank you for posting your message, etc. etc." but just below that I get "We have noted your attempt to hack this forum. Authorities will be notified if you persist"

What is wrong here? I "think" I followed the instructions as they were listed. The url of the board is atGolden Triangle

Thank you very much...

I think i found my problem...my hosting provider only allows .pl, not .cgi, I had changed all ".cgi" to ".pl" but i did not change all instances of "cgi" to "pl" excluding such things as "CGIURL" and "NonCGI" etc.

I'm trying to fix this now to see if it helps..

Please note that converting the cgi extensions is neither recommended nor supported by Infopop and is bound to give problems along the way.

Ask your webhost to apply the mappings to perl for .cgi instead - it's a 2 minute process.
