Just how many posts would you about need to fill up one megabyte of diskspace?

If you only have 1 MB of spave total for your UBB, that will not be enough

The UBB program itself takes up nearly that much space. As for the posts, you can assume that each post will require approx. 50 KB (topic files plus HTML files plus index files).

don't worry... I've got about 20MB of space in total, and am currently using but a small part of it. But I was just wondering as the Forum becomes reasonably successfull, I may want to get some more space...

OMG.. 20 megs? Dude, hope you plan on having a small message base. Hard drive space is dirt cheap, get a large hard disk.
better now then having to move UBB to another drive

UBB hogs disk space like my kid brother goes through clean clothes. I have a 100mb quota and it gets filled real fast. I have to prune every night
