If I used the UBB, a CGI mailing list, that Ultimate Guestbook, and some other CGI programs, how would I separate them? Would they all get messed up if I placed all of the files in the cgi-bin directory or would there be some other way?

I'd recommend using subdirectories for each application, but it isn't strictly necessary, as long as the files don't have the same name(s)..
