Two issues.

We are having people say the UBB won't work when they're using netscape...unles they upgrade to 6.0. Is this a known issue?

We have a few people who want to change their user name while keeping the same e-mail, is this possible?

It is difficult, if not completely impossible to properly diagnose most UBB problems without knowing which version of the UBB you are using, as well as the EXACT URL to your Ultimate.cgi, (NOT a link to your webpage). Please provide this information. Thanks.

Re: username changing... UBB 6.0 can allow users to change the name that will be associated with their posts, but not their login name.

You can change usernames by looking in the member directory of your UBB at the memberlist, finding the user, changing their name in both the numbered file and the memberlist. That way they can post using the new username and any posts by the old username remain the same. (i've just done this for one of my members)


And in response to your Netscape Problem, i'm looking at this here forum, as well as my own, with no probs whatsoever and my netscape is only 4.72
