I have 20 forums set up and need to delete 10 but can't find a way to do it, the only thing I can do is add a new forum or turn the forums on/off ...

Wow, 1999? Thats a pretty old version

In the 5.x series (which is what you're using most likely), you could not delete forums but you can turn them off so they are no longer visible.

With our 6.x you can delete forums.

what would it take to upgrade the forum and if I do will I lose anything?

Is there a way to back up members and forums?

Hi Abudadein-

You'd probably need to renew your Members Area access here: http://www.infopop.com/members/members.php for $99. That will give you our latest version, plus any other releases we make for a year from your purchase date.

You can easily upgrade from 5.x-6.x without losing anything. Certainly you could backup your info before doing the upgrade, but its a pretty smooth transition

I just ordered the $99 upgrade ... How can I tell what version I have or what version I need?

Visit your board - at the bottom of each page should be a "Powered by Infopop" bit of text, or an image. Below that will be the version number.
