This is a NICE Condition M4 Bayonet for the M-1 Carbine with an M8A1 Scabbard. This is a wonderful condition bayonet. Blade is in very nice condition. Super gray smooth parkerizing, has light scabbard marks,marked with a W or M? The metal guard and pommel are in very fine condition, no rust or damage. Guard is not marked Pommel is not marked. Pins are staked and the parts work fine ,one pin hole was drilled off center. The leather grip is in wonderful condition, no damage no wear, no dings, is not dried out, leather is dark,has grooves, no plastic spacers.. The scabbard is an M8A1 in very good condition, marked P.W.H. M8A1, webbing is sound, some damage or wear, metal parts show age but are all in fine condition, plastic is in very fine condition repainted at some time. As I see no maker markings I don\'t know who made it, I have read several different opinions as to maker but I can\'t say which ? It is a fine bayonet A collection is not complete without one.
