This sale is fora vintage highly lithographed tin battery operated Space Scout S-17 made inJapan by Yanoman. This space craft is ultra-nicecondition with clean battery compartment and original cockpit dome! The vibrant colors in the lithographing makethis toy stand out – great blue body with details: headlights, portals, rivets,diamond shapes, atomic space symbol, and more.The car has futuristic design in the rounded curves in the body mixedwith the sharp fins and lightning bolts!Light rubs on sides from box and minty bottom – overall very nice tintoy!
This futuristic tintoy was tested on 2-20-2015 and WORKS– when activated the ship moves with mystery action, psychedelic lights swirlaround the front dome, machine gun lights up with red action as it fires andthe ship makes a mechanical and gunfire sound!While activated the gun happy spaceman moves the gun back and forthcascading suppressive fire upon his foes.Antenna did not rotate.
The near perfectreplacement box for this toy is very clean, with wonderful detail and graphicsof the Space Scout in action! The box hasnice colors showing the Sun’s blistering rays in the background as the Scoutmakes his move between Earth and Mars!Repro box is also marked “5196” – and looks great – box bottom issolid!
