SCARCE VINTAGE LARGE TIN B/O NAVY SEAPLANE 15” WINGSPAN AIRPLANE SPACE ALPS JAPAN

This sale isfor a scarce vintage tin lithographed and battery operated LARGE & SUPERAWESOME 15” wingspan Navy sea plane made in Japan by ALPS. This plane is simply fantastic from everyangle! The plane is large with a bulbousfuselage nestled between two original tin propeller blades and the twopontoons’ s to stabilize this beast as it lands from its most recentmission. Above each pontoon is a light(red & green), wings are removable (the lever under wings can manuallypropels the propellers), battery compartment has some corrosion (could be fixed)and thus the toy does not currently work!A very unique feature of this toy is the tail fin section which has alatch to unlock and remove it and a cord to keep the tail section from gettinglost! The plane has the original wheelsand a propeller for water action (on a plane toy) – very cool. The tin lithographing has some rubs from ageand areas of oxidation (bottom and battery door) – please view photos’. Tail is marked “19570”, nose “5 NAVY” withgreat early colors and design all around.

Great toy made to play in water, on land or inthe air a toy made for every field collecting!
