This is a U.S. Navy 21 Jewel Hamilton Deck Watch in a double box. The estimated year of production is 1942. The big outside box measures about 10 3/4 X 8 1/4 X 7 3/4, has wear and scratching, has a crack in the base, and the inside is lined with green felt. The small inside box measures about 6 X 6 X 6, has wear and scratching, has a plaque on the outside that says \"HAMILTON WATCH CO. LANCASTER, PA., U.S.A.\", and has a plaque on the inside that has important information on how to set the watch. The glass in the small box has some wear and light scratching but is in good condition. All of the hinges on both boxes open and close well. The case and gimbals for the watch are made of brass and have wear and scratching. The brass case is stamped \"HAMILTON 10162\" on the side and is stamped \"MTD WATCH BUREAU OF SHIPS U.S. NAVY N 9257-1943\" on the back of the case. The glass is in good condition with light wear and scratching. The dial is white with black Arabic Numerals, has some light wear and scratching, and says \"HAMILTON LANCASTER, PA., U.S.A.\". All four (4) hands are present and have very light wear. The movement has a nickel finish, is adjusted to 6 positions, is adjusted to temperature, and has a wind indicator. The movement is stamped \"HAMILTON WATCH CO. MODEL 22 21 JEWELS ADJ. TO TEMP. & 6 POSITIONS MADE IN U.S.A. U.S. NAVY-BU. SHIPS-1942\". This deck watch does wind but does not run.
