This sale is fora vintage tin lithographed friction powered early space toy of the ROCKET MARSXY made by Cragstan/Nomura in Japan.This is an early tin friction toy of a rocket ship – which displaysfantastic tail fins and original wheels.This spaceship rocket has out of this world graphics of Mars, Earth,stars, rivets, flames, and window portals for the astronauts to gaze into theabyss of space safely from within the vessel!There are different versions of this toy which include the XY Moon Marsand the Moon Express. There is a denttop 1” above Earth – could be repaired – tail fin marked “JAPAN” has a gluelike substance on body near rub – overall this is a fine example of an earlyspaceship toy and is awesome on your display shelf!

This tin frictionoperated toy was tested on 2/14/2015 and WORKSwith fantastic sound and motor that propels the rocket forward – rubs to bottomfrom play. Needs new flint.

Height = 1¾” (ground to top)

Length = 5¾” (front to rear)

Width = 2 ½” (side to side)
