~ WATLING \"ROL-A-TOP\" slot machine LOWER FRONT CASTING! ~

Here is an original Watling Rol-A-Top Coin Front slot machine lower front casting with Gold Award window made by Watling Manufacturing of Chicago. To this day the Rol-A-Top rates as the most desirable three-reel mechanical slot of the era by a majority of collectors, primarily because it was so flashy. We believe that the Feds required Watling to redesign the coins that cascade down both sides of the jackpot windows because the original coins looked too real. Thus the Indian Head has a circle and star cast over it and others have a scale, house, warrior, elephant, etc., added to them. The casting is in as-found condition with no cracks or broken pieces. There is pitting as shown and an opening at the bottom of the casting was sealed off by a metal plate screwed in from the inside. The opening was designed to allow a Gold Award coin to drop into a coin payout tray below. The piece measures approximately 13-3/8\" wide by 12-1/2\" high. As always, we welcome your questions.
