WWII PAL RH-36 USA COMBAT FIGHTING KNIFE KOREA REMINGTON 11" Vtg BOWIE w Case
Price: US $73.00

WELCOME:

You are viewing a vintage PAL RH-36 Combat Fighting Knife with the Original Leather Sheath. The blade stamping indicates that it was probably manufactured around the World War II era. This is a 6" fixed blade "Combat-Utility-Fighting-Hunting" knife, which was made and often carried for military use.

This knife was most likely war surplus from WWII that was possibly used later in the Korean war. The fixed blade Bowie came from a family member that was in the Air Force deployed in the Korean war.

Remember, these war knives were made to be used, NOT collected, making them even

harder to find in this great condition.

"This USA knife is approx. 50+ years old, battle hardened....ready for action and anxious for it's next deployment.

This knife is a real time warp !!! Not a reproduction.

SIZE:

Overall size length is: 10 7/8"

The blade measures: 6 1/8"

TRADEMARKS:

The blade is stamped on one side:

RH(PAL) -36

MADE IN U.S.A.

BLADE:

The old steel blade is still bright but has signs of re-sharpening. The fixed blade has No blade edge nicks, but shows some carbon age specks, surface scratches, and a great patina, due to it's vintage age.

The large blade appears straight with a pointed tip, and both sides feature a 2 1/2" long blood groove. The blade spine measures a hefty 1/8" thick, and there is also a top false edge that could be sharpened if desired.

Also, noteworthy is that two versions were made of this military style blade...a "Parkerized blade style" and a "Bright blade style" like this one has.

HANDLE:

The vintage leather washer handle is in great used condition, for it's age. All the leather spacers are tight, but the handle shows wear such as dings and surface scratches. This certainly gives the knife some desirable character. The military-style metal finger guard is secure, has some age specks and a nice patina. Also the gray pommel end is in good vintage condition, but has a few dings.

SHEATH:

The original leather sheath is also included and fits the knife well. The sheath/case measures 11 7/8" long, shows scuffs, usage and normal wear, some discoloring and scratches, along with some wrinkles mostly on the back side.

There is a working snap strap, large belt loop, and intact stitching except for a couple stitches on the front side. The heavy duty brown leather sheath has 9 metal rivets, a stiff throat area, and also a thong hole at the tip for a tie-down strap.
