Zenith Walton Radio 12-S-232
This is the rarest of the Walton model radios. Most folks during the depression could not afford the expensive 12 tube model. This radio looks great and plays great. The cabinet was professionally restored by Wayne Ader of Furniture Aid. The top of the radio has a tiny amount of swayback (see photo) ... can\'t hardly notice it but I felt it best to mention it. The grille cloth is the proper style reproduction. The radio also has the original wooden knobs. The chassis has been thoroughly gone through and had the filters and capacitors replaced along with any weak tubes. The power tuner works fine. I saved the best for last: This radio is the only radio made by Zenith with the 670 omh speaker AND this radio still has that speaker and it sounds great. Radio also still has the original Zenith eye tube that still glows green, although not real bright. I will send along a new RCA 6E5 shutter type eye tube in case you want the more modern version.This radio with be shipped in 2 boxes to insure safe arrival because of it heaviness....Cabinet in one box, chassis in another box.
