This isa very nice day time ensemble from the early 1900\'s. It is made in theGibson girl style that was so popular during this decade. The skirt has awaist of 29, a length in front of 40 inches and 45 inches in back. Thebodice has a bust of 36, a waist of 30 and shoulders that measure 14. This garment is just for study or could beused for display if you used black slips under it. The fabric is brittle and riddled with holesand repairs. The bodice lining is damaged and the lace has some damage aswell. The gold bullion is in fair condition with age related patina. The lining of the gold bullion hasshattered. It was original ivory silk.The dress is beautiful still, but these photos make it look in farbetter condition than it is. It would really be best for designinspiration, it is way to fragile to wear.This came out of a trunk in an old barn where it had been stored foralmost 60 years and definitely has that old smell.
