#1192, 1880\'s Lace & Aqua Quilted BustleUnder Skirt: This under-skirt was partof a project to restore a 1880\'s ballgown. The project was started years agoand never finished. I only was able to purchase this skirt because therest of the dress the family cut up and framed it in pieces so eachgranddaughter and great granddaughter could have a piece of their GreatGrandmothers ball gown. The lace is original and in good condition with some spots.I don\'t see any holes. The under fabric is a heavy stiffener type offabric that was used in paniers, half slips and hats in the 1920\'s and 30\'s.The aqua silk is machine quilted and probably from the 20\'s and 30\'s aswell. So the only thing that is original to the dress
is the lace. The waist is 25.5 and the length is 42 inches. It issturdy and you could wear it if you wanted to recreate an 1880\'s ball gown.
