1879 BOYD\'S BATTERY NECKLACE PENDANT QUACK MEDICAL DEVICE About 1 1/8\" across. With a tiny copper loop at the top for a chain necklace. The front says \"Boyd\'s Battery\" and the back says \"London, England Jan. 17, 1878, Improved 1879\" in abbreviated letters. Invented by J.C. Boyd. Made of tiny round pieces of metal fused together. When worn as a necklace against the skin, the claim was made that the pendant produced electric charges that would cure diseases. In VG+ condition.
