Make sure to check out all of my sales after you look at this one. I\'m listing an eclectic assortment of mechanical, technological and musical antiques that all have one thing in common -- their condition is exceptional.Here\'s a beautiful, ancient Mechanical Orguinette 14-Note roller organ. This flat sheet organette (the ends of the music sheet can be taped together for continuous play) was manufactured in the late 1870\'s and sold by the Mechanical Orguinette Co. of New York. Unlike the Mechanical Orguinette I listed on last week, this Mechanical Orguinette has a closed top, with a flap that can be raised and lowered to modulate the sound.Condition is excellent throughout. Original paper \"Directions\" label is complete and legible and remains affixed to the underside of the cabinet. Pristine original cabinet finish and prominent original gilt decorations. Original small hardware, and original crank. Original reeds and reed box. Beautiful cabinet, with a few minor marks and stress lines in the wood, but no missing or broken legs, no missing or damaged retaining clips. The bellows were professionally re-built in the 1960\'s by the late Cecil Ducharme, who stamped his repair shop\'s name beside the two original factory patent stamps. The organette plays easily; and it sounds great when it\'s playing. Loud and resonant. Includes an original 14-note music sheet for display (too fragile to be used) and a new tune sheet from Pipes of Pan, which sells different 14-note titles for this instrument. The new tune sheet works great in the organette.Measures approximately 15\" x 12\" x 8\". Shipping weight approximately 18 lb.That\'s about it.
