I\'m listing an eclectic selection of museum quality antiques and collectibles, including a mint-in-box 1905 Puck cylinder phonograph and two 100+ year old disc phonographs whose condition is truly exceptional.Here\'s a 5 x 8 plate camera manufactured in the late 1880\'s by Scovill Mfg Co. in New York. The camera is original throughout (including the wood finish) and its condition is close to mint. The camera is made of mahogany and cherry, with tongue-in-groove joints. There are a few minor, insignificant marks consistent with gentle handling and shelving, but for the most part the camera is pristine. All numbers match, and the lens board is of course original. Original brass fittings and brass screws throughout. Original Scovill Waterbury lens with an aperture wheel that still rotates easily. Lacquered brass parts exhibit minimal wear and no corrosion. Bellows are original and are like new, and the ground glass focusing plate is also original and in excellent conditon. Camera focuses accurately. Rear standard slides easily along focusing rail, and the camera folds up perfectly.Please look carefully at the pictures. This camera is a gem.Shipping weight will be about 10 lb.That\'s about it.
