Here\'s a beautiful 5 x 8 mahogany plate camera manufactured in the late 1800\'s by E & HT Anthony of New York. The camera is made of polished wood (mahogany body and cherry base), with brass fittings. It comes with its original Anthony lens and its original wood carrying/storage case. Also included is a double slide plateholder that still fits snugly between the back of the camera and the ground glass focusing plate.Condition of the camera is very good to excellent throughout, with minimal wear evident to the original wood finish, and bellows that appear to be light tight. Hardware is clean, with minimal tarnish and no corrosion, and the rear standard still slides easily along the bed\'s rail. Ground glass is original and undamaged. Camera folds up neatly and can be stored with the plate holder in the case. Case retains its original handle, original hinges and its original front latch. Overall, a really nice outfit.Shipping weight will be about 12 lb.That\'s about it.
