Make sure to check out all of my sales after you\'ve looked at this one. I\'m listing an excellent & eclectic assortment of antiques and collectibles this week, and I suspect that there will be something of interest to just about everybody.Here\'s a large (approximately 11\" x 9\" x 7\" with the lid closed), elaborate Waite & Bartlett \"Faradic Battery\" manufactured in New York in the late 1800\'s. This dry-cell powered device was built for \"doctors\" who specialized in \"electrical therapy\" and used an induction coil to deliver a stiff shock to the hapless patient on the receiving end of its sponge-top probes.
Condition is good throughout, and the box includes both of its original probes, and both original wires. All metal fittings are in good shape, and the secondary winding on the inductive coil still slides easily in and out of the primary coil. Panel is in excellent condition, with no cracks or other damage. Tap switches move easily, and there are no missing contacts. Sponge heads are still intact on the handles, and the wires are full length. Cabinet is in good shape, and the original paper instruction sheet on the underside of the lid is complete and nearly perfect.

Shipping weight, properly packed, will be approximately 20 lb.That\'s about it. I will pack it carefully. I\'ve been shipping antique phonographs and wireless sets for years, and I know how to get fragile antiques to you safely. sale participants with no prior response history should also contact me before placing a offer. Buyer prepays and includes shipping. Paypal okay.
