This outstanding, early 20th century Hopi Second Mesa Basketry Tray measures approx. 9 1/2\" tall and 8 1/4\" in diameter at the top. in diameter and features images of 12 animals that appear to be horses and a single deer in natural wicker, dark tan and black colors.

This very rare and fascinating, ca1890\'s Hopi Second Mesa Coil Basket is in good to very good condition. The wrap and the coil are tight and the Basket intact and sound however there are areas of loss to the weft as can be seen in the scans below. Even with the loss, the basket makes a wonderful display piece !! This wonderful Hopi Second Mesa Coil Basket came to us from the William Albert Collection.
