MAGNIFICENT! Genuine antique, Edwardian era hat. From the Titanic and Downton Abbey era, the hat dates from 1912 to 1915. Trimmed with rare and gorgeous weeping willow ostrich plumes in coal black, a wide French silk ribbon sash, and sparkling French jet passementerie leaves and swirls in back. Made of sturdy and dense, French beaverette fur-felt with a long nap and a lovely luster. Large head size. Super clean, overall excellent condition. Very well preserved. This is a genuine antique Edwardian hat. Wide brim, made of darkest black \"beaverette\", a thick and sturdy imported fur felt with a nice shaggy nap. Deep and wide crown. The ostrich plume is a millinery marvel, hundreds of extra long flues were painstakingly hand tied by tiny fingers, attaching longer flues to each of the original flues to create a bushy and long weeping willow effect. Very thick and lush and fluffy, just a beauty. Well preserved, ready to wear condition. Perfect to wear for your next special event. Thank you!
