I had the good fortune, many years ago, to buy some exquisite things from the estate of a very wealthy family who held on to their beautiful clothing. The women of the family went to France every other year in the 1920\'s and 1930\'s to stock their wardrobe.I have been a costume historian and collector of interesting textiles for many decades.

Here is a very early example of a brassiere made in France of fine mercerized cotton Chantilly lace, lined in fine net.4 3/4\" at highest point. 29\" around. 3 hooks and eyes. Ribbon straps have worn away. Otherwise in excellent condition.
