I\'m listing an eclectic assortment of museum quality antiques and collectibles, and I suspect there will be something of interest to just about everyone.Here\'s a wonderful, working red Nifty Nirona disc phonograph.As you can see in the pictures, the phonograph is in excellent condition throughout, with a red metal case whose paint is original and whose decorations are still prominent. Reproducer is original, as is the crank. In fact everything is original on this machine -- even the four rubber feet on the underside of the base. The resonator assembly is undamaged, and the arm moves freely as the record plays, floating inside the mushroom-shape horn as it was designed to do. The on/off switch and governor control are both working properly, and the turntable revolves quietly. Although it was designed to play 7\" records, this phonograph can play 8\" and 10\" records as well. If you\'re familiar with the Nifty Nirona, you know how difficult it is to find one in acceptable condition, much less with an original red case and looking as good as this one looks. The motor is stillstrong, and the phonograph has no trouble playing an entire 10\" record. I\'ll include an early Emerson 7\" record with the phonograph, but thousands of other 78 RPM records are available on on a regular basis.Overall, an exceptionally nice Nifty Nirona, worthy of the most exacting collector.I\'ve been selling and shipping antique phongraphs, antique radios and antique scientific apparatus for more than 25 years.
