1930 Souvenir Medal cast from Battleship Oregon - HK459 Pacific-American Token
Price: US $51.01
Up for offerding is a so-called dollar or commemorative medallion from the 1930 Pacific-American International Exposition, which was planned for Portland, Oregon but never took place.Description: It is made from bronze, and measures approximately 34mm in diameter. It corresponds with Hibler-Kappen 459, and is the only listed piece from the exposition.Interestingly, this is also a \"relic medal\" -- as the reverse notes, it was cast from a salvaged part of the Battleship Oregon, which sat at downtown Portland\'s waterfront in the years after WWI. Later, the battleship was refitted and went on to serve in the Pacific during WWII.Condition: Lots of wear (F or so), with tan toning. Please examine the photographs for further details and qualities. Thanks for ENDING THURSDAY, OCTOBER 30th.
