Rare and original 1930\'s John Hohenadel Brewery Inc. (of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania) Tin Lithographed Advertising Serving Beer Tray featuring an image of a New England Lobster Dinner.

This wonderful, Tin Litho Beer Tray measures 16\" by 12 3/4\" and features a dinner table \"fit for a king\". There is a large, boiled and split lobster over flowing a plate along with a generous plate of french fries and a tall pilsner glass of Hohenadel Beer. Text in the image area reads \"Well Earned Supremacy / Hohenadel Beer\". Text on the raised rim reads \"Hohenadel Brau\", \"Alt-Pilsner Style\" and \"Indian Queen Ale\" along with \"John Hohenadel Brewery Inc.\" at the bottom.

Known to collectors as the \"Oval Hohenadel Food\" Tray - this Tray is somewhat different from the normal food subject Beer Tray as it features a lobster feast rather than the typical Beer and a sandwich. The chromolithography on this early, Post-Prohibition Advertising Beer Tray is of the very highest quality by it does not carry a manufacturer\'s mark.

This very charming, 1930\'s Hohenadel Beer Advertising Serving Tray is not a reproduction, reissue or restrike but is an original 1930\'s Serving Tray manufactured and distributed for the Brewery to advertise their Beer.

This rare and original, Tin Lithograph Advertising Beer Tray is in very good condition. The Chromolithography is bright and bold - rich and warm and very attractive but there are scattered tiny dots of white paint, scattered tiny surface nicks and other tiny surface blemishes to the image area and to the raised rim. There is an area of what appears to be some kind of chemical damage at the very bottom of the raised rim that has cause some surface loss as well as some change to the color of the blue and green inks. There is some wear to the back side of the Tray. Please see the scans below for a good indication of the form and condition of this John Hohenadel Brewing Company Beer Tray!!
