Rare and original, 1930's, Cast Iron, Hose and Ladder Fire Truck manufactured by the Hubley Manufacturing Company of Lancaster, Pennsylvania. This early, Cast Iron Fire Engine measures 13 1/2” long (truck body only) by 3 3/4" tall (to the top of the separately cast driver's head) by 3 3/4" wide (across the back platform). The Truck carries the numbers 2333 and 2384 cast on the underside.
This rare and wonderful, Hubley Hose and Ladder Truck retains its original, separately cast driver, both of its original separately cast search lights (sometimes called Klieg Lights) and its original white rubber hose and die cast ends. All of the surface paint on the Truck is 100% original and the Fire Engine displays beautifully.
This wonderful, 1930's Hubley Fire Truck / Hose and Ladder Truck is in very good condition. As stated above, Truck retains its original, separately cast driver, both of its original separately cast flood lights and its original white rubber hose and die cast ends. The surface paint is 100% original and the Truck has never been repainted, touched up or had the surface restored in any way. The included ladder appears to be a replacement and the black, hard rubber wheels may also be replacements but otherwise the Fire Truck is original and as manufactured. There are no crack, breaks, chips, repairs or physical damage of any kind to the cast iron. Please see the numerous scans below for a good indication of the form and condition of this very attractive and very rare Cast Iron Toy.
