This sale is for a rare 1930's premium quality German Stag hunting and fighting knife with the original leather sheath, marked on the knife: BOWIE - POINTER - MONTEPELIO, CAL. - SOLINGEN - GERMANY - and marked on the sheath: MADE IN GERMANY - This beauty hasgenuine burnt stag scales and a very sharp, full tang, clip point, carbon steel blade. This antique Bowie knife is in near excellent condition appearing just lightly used and showing some very minor little scratches, no rust or pitting, and a tiny bit of movement of the brass blade guard. The sheath is also very near excellent with just light storage wear. Please zoom in on all pictures for details. This knife measures 10 1/4" with a 6 1/8" blade, nearly 1/4" thick, and in the sheath weighs 8.5 oz.
