Lithuanian Pilots STEPONAS DARIUS and STASYS GIRENAS attempted a Non-Stop Flight on July 15, 1933 from Floyd Bennett Field in New York City to Kaunas, Lithuania. After traveling 3983 miles and 37 Hours their airplane crashed on July 17, 1933 near Kuhdamn, Germany killing both pilots.

Preprinted envelope bearing stamped Cachet NEW-YORK-KAUNAS. Name of aircraft is preprinted VIA LITUANICA. The reverse bears a receiving DCDS KAUNAS 18VII33 [July 18, 1933]. Addressed to LIETUVOS AERO KLUBAS [Lithuania\'s Air Club].
