1938 Steelcraft Pedal Car Unrestored Rare
Price: US $1200.00
Very rare and complete 1938 Steelcraft Chrysler pedal car. Could be original paint, I don\'t know. I do know that no one has messed with it for the 70 plus years it has been in our family other than during WWII, when rubber was scarce and my grandpa needed a new tire for it, he fashioned one out of a piece of garden hose and it has lasted ever since, some surface rust on underside, but very minimal. The seat pan is probably also rusted because a piece of wood was fitted to seat pan area back in late 50\'s. I\'ve never removed. Always kept indoors for at least past 50 years. Many great memories for 3 generations of kids. Thanks for looking and offerding.

I received a question about the year, the graphics and the seat pan....attached is my response to update the listing information:
I have been told by several knowledgeable pedal car people that it is a \'38 Steelcraft and 2 of the 3 examples that I have found on the internet were identical and were listed as 38\'s, but there is also a photo on the internet of a similar one identified as a \'41, so it is possible and I am not absolutely certain about year. It has been in our family since the 40\'s. Most 41\'s I have seen have a different front bumper. It would have had graphics when new and I imagine that they have long since worn off, unless someone re-painted it the original color in the 40\'s or 50\'s. I used it as a child in the 60\'s and it has not been repainted during my lifetime. As shown in the photo, the seat pan is covered with a fitted piece of wood and I would need to unbolt the rear pedal attachments and I don\'t really want to take it apart, I\'ve been told to leave everything intact. I have uploaded a better photo of the seat area. Everything works.
