1940s AUTOCAR DC100 & 35\' FRUEHAUF STAINLESS REEFER 8x10 B&W GLOSSY PHOTO
Price: US $9.99

This photo is an excellent high quality 8” x 10” black & white glossy photo new reproduction of a 1940s AUTOCAR DC10064 Tractor & FRUEHAUF Tandem Reefer Trailer Owned by SCHNITZER TRUCKING CO. of Los Angeles.

”SAMPLE” will not appear on your photo, it is only on the scanned image. Laying the “SAMPLE” sheet over the photo for the scan, causes the image to be slightly yellowed. Your photo reproduction will be pure black & white with no yellow cast.

DESCRIPTION: This 1940s post-war DC10064 Autocar with typical west coast long wheelbase is pulling a 35’ Fruehauf Stainless Steel Reefer Trailer with a very early reefer unit mounted on the nose of the trailer. If you have any knowledge of this trucking company, I would appreciate hearing from you.

AUTOCAR DC10064: After 1946 the all steel Autocar ‘DeLuxe Cab’ was introduced, replacing the old wood and steel cab. The all steel Autocar ‘Driver Cab’ was introduced in 1950. Most DC10064 Autocars on the west coast were powered by the Cummins Diesel 672-cid 150-hp HB-600. In an industry first, Series 100 Model Autocars were equipped with a 12-volt electrical system and a 24-volt starting motor with a Bendix drive.

Now that I have begun to sell on after a few years off, I will be adding a number of vintage truck and construction equipment photos/ads, listing an additional item or two almost daily. I still have several file boxes and shelves full of items to sell. Please check my sales and store frequently to see what new items I have added.

Please check the comments in my “responses” to verify that I pack very well, ship promptly, describe my items fairly, and that my customers like the quality of my items. Rest assured, you get what is represented. It may be ‘old school’, but I treat my customers like I would like to be treated myself. Trucking and construction have been my life, and now in retirement I do this with a labor of love and enjoyment.
