This is a nice original condition;chronometer deck watch manual wind. It dates to the 1940s era. It has powerreserve indicator and is Ship style clock. Gimble version, chronometer in awooden case with cardanic suspension made in the 1940s. Heavy brass case,screwed back with glass window. Black white dial 24-hour display. Sweep secondswith 24-hour scale. Sweep second and 36-hour power reserve to be seen under\"12\". High-end chronometer caliber 21.29 with 21 jewels Adjusted to temperaturesand in 5 positions.
History of the clock isit was brought home by a Navy vet who was in WWII. He used it for years on his ChrisCraft cabin cruiser. It was stored away in the 1970s and is in all originaluntouched condition. It is in nice working condition. With just a littlewinding it ran smooth. Crystal looks scratch free. Some very lightdiscoloration to white face from age. Brass has tarnish, some small scratcheson the side screw holes where it sets in gimble cradle. Box has some scratchesa small pry mark on front, when locked it’s a little sticky to open but lock isworking has original key. I see no markings where it has been serviced.
