New York Bach Stradivarius model 37 Bb trumpet with #7 pipeand .453 bore. It was sold to Century Music on Nov. 28, 1947 according to theshop card. It comes with excellent condition original case (I\'ve seen thesesell for 200$ alone) that has working latches springs and even the originalcase keys. The interior is in excellent shape and was well cared for. No ripstears or stains. The outside of the case is a nice black alligator finish withthe Bach metal logo plate. There is a copy of the shop card, warrantyregistration card and even a card advising the buyer to use a Bach mouthpiecefor best results. Speaking of which, it comes with an original Bach New York10C model mouthpiece. As far as I can tell there are no dents or dings on thishorn whatsoever. If you looked it over with a magnifying glass, maybe you wouldsee something but I can\'t find any. I don\'t see any scratches either. It\'s hardto tell because the lacquer is at about 75%. There is one small patch on theunderside of the second valve. I put it through the ultrasonic cleaner and noticedthe pinhole after it came out of the machine. I put a very small patch on it. Ialso put a first valve thumb saddle on it very carefully. You could easily takeit off if you wanted the horn to be perfectly original. The slides all workgreat even the little slide on the end of the third valve slide. I pictured itwith the slides all out so that you can see that they are not stuck. They havenever been stuck. There is no evidence of stuck slide removal. The valves areso tight that they work best with Al Cass oil if you can believe that. Most oldhorns I\'ve had seemed to work best with a thick Hetman oil. Not these, theyactually get slower with the Hetman oil so Al Cass it is. It has all theoriginal parts even the third valve slide nuts. All the caps work andslides/valves. The instrument has fantastic compression and is not a rebuild. It is an original condition horn. The whole set up is ready to take out of thecase and play right now. There is no red rot anywhere and the compression isgreat. The valves are gleaming and in excellent condition. All the serialnumbers match on the valves. I aligned this horn . other than that, no repairwork has ever been done on it. no soldering or dent work only the small patchwhich is in the pictures. I bought this horn and played it about 6 monthsprofessionally. I used it for legit gigs, brass quintet gigs (it was reallynice for that) lead gigs and some jazz.
