They have a one piece body with jointed arms. They came in sizes of 12 , 13, 15 and 17 inch tall dolls. Iam adding a photo of one of these dolls to this listing, justfor your reference. (DOLL is NOT for Sale).

This tag isNOT the one for the larger 21 inch tall dollsthat were made in 1953 and 1954 ( first issues). This tag is for theone piece torso dolls only.
